This group of Scythian men with Amazon wives moved east to start a new life; the Amazons said they could never be a part of their culture, as they weren't willing to adopt the non-warrior lifestyle of the Scythian woman. Apparently these women ultimately passed their fighting tradition down to the Sarmatians (a renowned warrior culture), who actually did have female warriors in their armies historically. The women had to kill a person in battle before they could marry. Just an interesting tidbit from the father of history himself.

I actually ran into that place by accident on a Brutii playthrough where I sent a diplomat through the barbarian lands, bribing rebel settlements to my cause.Naturally I bribed that place too. I then stumbled onto the hidden Amazon chariot ambush, which.I bribed. Unfortunately they disperse rather than join you and as far as I could tell the city itself gave no actual special benefits.I don't actually know if you can recruit the amazon chariots there at some point, that would be nice.
