I've played the beta and am a prettygood player. If there is one thing I've found to be critical toplaying well it is choosing the right race. To do well you shouldn'tpick Terran because they are human, Protoss because they are cooland high tech, or zerg because of their monstrous appetite. Each race has a distinct play-style and/or play-styles unique totheir race.

Each player has a play-style that best suits their ownpersonal play-style and play level. To do the best you can you needto find the play-style that best suits yourself, and then pick yourrace accordingly. Here are the races and how they play.Terran:Terran: Terran is an extremely defensive race. The racecenters around creating a heavily fortified position in the earlygame, usually by creating a front door wall with supply depots, barracks, and/or factories. The Terrans than build up a large forceunopposed and move out when the time is right.

Because Terranstrategy is very straightforward and in the process of climbing thetech tree they unlock almost everything Terran is generallyconsidered the 'Easy' race.If the Terrans have a weakness it is that they can only operate asmany bases as they can defend at one time. Terrans are usuallylimited to only 1 or 2 bases. Their units are slow and largelydependant on positioning. They are superior in a chokepoint but weakon open ground.Zerg:Zerg: If the Terran race says 'This is my base and youcan't do anything to stop me from holding it' the typical Zergresponse is 'Ok, but I get the other 90% of the map'. Zerg gets alarge number of extremely mobile units.

Speed upgraded Zerglings arelightning fast, mutalisks are fast and flexible, Roaches andinfesters can travel while burrowed. The Terran fight in achokepoint, like near their base, and the Zerg fight in the openground of the center of the map.The zerg win by out-producing, or out-macroing, their opponent. GoodZerg players usually fall into one of two categories. There are theplayers who build almost nothing but drones as much as they can, foras long as they can. At any one point they have just enough forcesto survive for now, and they build much of their army after theyspot the enemy army leaving their base. Breadth first search java example.

They build nothing but thebest counter for the opponent's forces. The other strategy revolves around taking an active part inpreventing the opponent from being able to macro. These players usetheir high mobility units to constantly harass their enemy. Oftenattacking the opponent's workers with mutalisks and other surprises.Instead of bolstering their own economy they build fast units andstop their opponent's. Constant harass, mutalisks, baneling drops, anything to slow the opponent is standard. If the Zerg have a weakness it is that all of their strategies arehighly dependant on the player's skill. A macro heavy zerg needs toknow exactly how large an army the opponent could have at any giventime, and exactly how much of an army he will need to keep to stopthat army. A harass heavy zerg needs unparalleled control over hisunits to keep them constantly moving and attacking. The zerg isoften considered the 'hard' race, BUT if you're willing to work withtheir play-style it can also give great results and be veryrewarding at the same time.Protoss:Protoss: There is a reason I'm covering Protoss last and that isbecause the Protoss race is best compared side by side with theother races.

The Protoss can play very aggressively, using warp inand a large number of gateways to quickly drop a strong force on theenemies doorstep. A front door closed by gateways and a zealot ortwo at the entrance can be difficult to break. The Protoss can put up a strong defense compared to the zerg, butnot nearly as tough as the Terrans. The Protoss forces are moremobile than the Terrans but can expect to be outmaneuvered by theZerg. The Protoss are strong against the zerg in a tight chokepoint, but should fight the Terrans on open ground. They can expand to anew base early, or live off of 1 base for some time. The Protoss doesn't really have a definite weakness, but it doesn'tspecialize either. Its better than zerg at things zerg is bad at andbetter than Terran at things Terran is bad at. Its a very wellrounded race in general.

Protoss are generally considered to be themoderately difficult race as the race doesn't require quite as muchmicro and knowledge as the Zerg, but he still needs to know how tobe effective against an opponent using a given strategy.

My name is Rommper and i'm the leader of a project called Chronicles of Azeroth. The ultimate goal of our ambitious project is to recreate Warcraft I & II using the Starcraft II engine. Currently we are quiet close to finish the multiplayer experience of both game. You can play our maps on the European and North American servers in Starcraft 2 Arcade by searching for Coa, Wc1 or Wc2 words. Please note that many arts are still placeholders and we plan to replace them in the future. This is supposed to be as close to the original as possible. But to please Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 veterans and new people too we added two gameplay modes to choose from. Classic and Modern.

Host can choose between the two gameplay modes (host has to click on create game instead of play game to have access to this feature). Classic gameplay mode works as the original: 4/9 selection limit, no rally points, only one queue in structures and no autocast. Modern gameplay mode change a game to have a more modern rts feel with the following changes: unlimited selection, 5 queue in structures, some autocastable spells and increased supply given by farms. Currently the modern gameplay mode is the default one as its more popular. Also in the future we plan objective based multiplayer maps and coop campaign maps.

We call these 'Battlegrounds' and most likely will feature new mechanics, units etc that wasn't part of the original game but have a faithful feel to them.We are looking for members in these positions:2d and 3d artistterrainerai makeryou can find more informations on our moddb page (search for chronicles of azeroth), facebook (facebook com /coasc2/) page and in game group called Chronicles of Azeroth official.Mod DB:Facebook:add links & ss -mousey. Thank you very much! Since the last post we released our newest multiplayer map, Garden of WarAlso revealed the plan to create new mini campaigns telling events of the first two war we didn't see in the original game. For example a warcraft 2 prequel campaign for both sides (orc- How Orgrim reformed the Horde, human- The exodus of Lothar to Lordaeron), or a Cho'gall one that tell how the Ogre-mage found new masters after the events of the Tomb of Sargeras. Each of these mini campaigns would last around 3-5 maps. I attached a picture of our Garden of War remake and the second map of the Cho'gall campaign. On this map the Horde and Alliance wages war on an island near the Broken Isles.

Warcraft 2 Tides Of Darkness

Unknown to both sides however, Twilight Hammer Cultists already infiltrated their ranks. You must gather these cultist and destroy both bases to win. The Horde and Alliance will send troops against you and each other so you will have multiple ways to defeat them like weakening their defenses and so they destroy each other.
