North And South Warband
Tuesday night we had an event in North and South on the DixieLand Army NA server. I am in Company A which is a Skirmisher Company even though I prefer Infantry but there are no Infantry companies. Our line was a mere 6-7 people and it was led by Mr. Man, and the second in command was Wubby.

We dominated 3/4 of the rounds that all lasted about 20 minutes each. In the first round we got in a fire fight with the 5th Georgia Skirmish Company, they took us all out with musket rounds but when they charged we still lost but killed a lot more than they killed, Stranger even almost single handedly took out their entire line by himself. The second event we fought the 5th Georgia again but this time we charged them before long and wiped them out and then continued to take out their arty.

The third round the enemy cannons seemed wide open so we charged them, the VMI thought they could stop us but we DESTROYED them and didn't even lose one person, and their line had 2 times as many as we did. Then we continued to charge their artillery and took them out. Only four of us 7 that charged survived and I got nine kills that round. The last round the 5th Georgia brought us to a steep hill and sadly we couldn't get up the hill and they picked us off with musket fire. But hey, we still won 75% of our rounds!

Fight for the Union or the Confederacy, as you carve your way through history.The mod is under development by ArthurPenadragon (formerly known as Toby) and myself and we are focusing on authentic clothing, textures and sound effects that will cater to all civil war junkies. Given that the mod has been in development in 'secret' for a few weeks, I have decided to post this thread to generate some hype. We are focusing especially hard on keeping the game realistic, but not to the extent that you are standing still for 30 seconds waiting for your musket to reload. Although this may be historically correct, i believe that we should abide by the four shots per minute rule at the very minimum. An even better scenario would be adopting Napoleonic Wars reload times, but increasing them a tab bit.
